Plus it’s a consumable, you can just eat it up! I found the Dad’s root beer and Bush’s beans in the grocery aisle at Big Lots. But if you have that one family member that always ends up talking about bathroom-related issues, this might just be the best gift of the exchange. Ok, so this one is not appropriate for all White Elephant audiences. The right mix of funny and frugal (at just $5 a box). I saw these two cookie kits: Ugly Sweater Cookies and NinjaBread Cookies and just thought they would be perfect for a White Elephant exchange. Some of these products are actually quite useful, but that “ As Seen on TV” label instantly makes them White Elephant-worthy, just for the pop culture humor. As Seen on TVĬue the over-animated spokesman yelling at you from the TV at how you just have to try the expanding hose, bug net, or bacon bowl maker. The grandkids love them (especially the hip hop Santa)! I think the Snoopy one would especially be a hit – who doesn’t love that pup? 3. Thank you for the idea I will use it again this year.I just couldn’t resist! ? These would make fun White Elephant gifts! ? #WhiteElephantWin #twitterparty!Ī video posted by Mary Hoover on at 5:24pm PSTĬome on, you know you have to try them when you are in the store too! My dad actually has a little collection of these singing, dancing, talking holiday pals. I felt this went well with our small group because tissues in the wintertime (in Central Illinois) can come in handy anyway, but it was fun to watch the "nice" people scratch their ticket to see if they were a winner again. Also, I just hot glued the tissue paper to the rim of the cup (and then trimmed the excess paper) instead of using the rubber bands it seemed to work fine. The dice idea (which I, of course, stole from someone else too) added a level of competition that the adults liked while making it fair for everyone. Last year, I just didn't have the time to commit to all the cute naughty and nice sayings. In the hole I didn't have a naughty or nice paper, but I had a pocket pack of tissues for the "naughty" person to dry their tears and a $1 scratch off holiday lottery ticket for the "nice" person. I had our party-goers roll dice and whoever got doubles got to punch a hole. I took your idea and tweaked it just a bit for our adult Christmas party.
